Chris Kane, CEO
Chris Kane is the Chief Executive Officer of PPS. Kane joined PPS in 2002 as Director of Marketing; he was promoted to Vice President of Government Affairs in 2005 and Chief Operating Officer in 2008. Prior to PPS, he held executive positions in marketing and communications with ProcurePoint Travel Solutions, a provider of specialized software solutions to the corporate travel industry, and siteROCK, a provider of remote infrastructure monitoring solutions. Kane serves on the Board of Directors of the American Association for Homecare. He received a BA in Philosophy from Clark University.
Ian Farmer, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Ian Farmer started working with PPS in 2009 implementing a best practice business planning process. In 2010 Farmer became Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. He has over 30 years of senior leadership experience in the high technology healthcare market with GE, ADAC Laboratories and Philips Healthcare. He has built and led organizations that conceived and successfully commercialized over 20 high growth medical products. Farmer received a 1st Class Honors Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Reading University and a post-graduate degree in Management Studies from Slough College in England.
Alan Winters, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Operations
Alan Winters joined PPS as the Senior Vice President of Customer Care, in 2009. In 2010 he was promoted to Sr VP Enterprise Operations. Prior to PPS, Winters was Senior Vice President for Citicards' Cardmember Services at Citigroup. In that role, he managed 3,500 customer service associates in 6 countries. Prior to Citigroup, Winters' experience includes Vice President of Patient Care for Express Scripts Inc, a $10B national pharmacy benefit management company; Vice President of Customer Solutions for Sprint PCS; and Director of Customer Service at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. He received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and an MBA from Washington University in St Louis.
Tom Horton, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Operations
Tom Horton joined PPS in 2011 as the Senior Vice President, Strategy and Operations. Prior to PPS, Horton was an independent consultant in the Healthcare Industry, preceded by his tenure at McKesson Technology Solutions where he was Senior Vice President & Chief Process Officer – Planning & Process Office and Senior Vice President, Technology & Outsourcing Services Groups. At IDX Systems Corporation, a healthcare IT vendor, Horton was Senior Vice President, Strategy & Business Development. Other positions contributed to Horton’s skills in creative business problem-solving and strong, collaborative team leadership. Horton received his BA in Geography from Dartmouth College and a MMA in Marketing and Finance from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
Jason Anderson, Senior Vice President, Sales and Field Operations
Jason Anderson has served as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Field Operations since 2007. He joined PPS in 2003 as Center Manager. He was promoted to Area Manager in 2003, to Region Manager in 2005 and to Region VP in 2006. Prior to PPS, Anderson held several positions with the City of Los Angeles, including Assistant Deputy Mayor, and also worked for First Union Bank as Assistant Vice President. Anderson received a BA in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from Stanford University.
Jon Alsterlind, Vice President, Finance
Jon Alsterlind assumed the role of Vice President, Finance, in 2008. Alsterlind joined PPS in 2002 as Assistant Controller and was promoted to Controller in 2004. Prior to joining PPS, he served as the Corporate Controller at WorkSpeed, an ASP for the commercial real estate industry, and as an Audit Manager with the public accounting firm of Shea Labagh Dobberstein, CPAs, Inc. Alsterlind received a BS in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.
Doug Christopher, Vice President, Care
Doug Christopher joined PPS in 2010. Prior to joining PPS, Christopher was Vice President, Customer Care for Ceridian Corporation. In that role he was a Senior Operations Leader providing customer support for HR Payroll products and services, and leading the St Louis and Chicago customer care centers, and a virtual support team. Christopher’s experience also includes 5 years as Director of Service Operations at Express Scripts, Inc., and 15 years at Sprint Corporation where he held various leadership roles, most recently as Senior Director, Enterprise Service Operations in Sprint’s PCS Wireless Division. Christopher‘s also worked for the United Telephone System in operations and customer service. He received a BS in Business Administration & Marketing from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana and an MBA from Rockhurst University, Kansas City, Missouri.
Jim Doty, Vice President, Marketing and General Manager, Sleep Therapy
Jim Doty is the Vice President, Marketing and General Manager, Sleep Therapy. Doty joined PPS in 2001 as the Director of Marketing, assumed responsibility for Information Technology in July 2002 and was promoted to Vice President of Marketing in 2003. In 2011 he assumed General Manager Responsibility for the PPS Sleep Therapy business. Prior to joining PPS, Doty was Vice President of Marketing & Sales for Echobridge, an Internet solutions company. Prior to Echobridge, he served as Director of Marketing of Conceptus, a venture-funded medical device company. He has also worked as Manager of New Product Development with Scimed Life Systems; New Business Development at Pharmacia Ophthalmics and held operational, sales and marketing positions at Cooper Vision, Intraocular Lens division. He received a BS in Sociology from the University of Oregon.
Carolyn McElroy, Vice President and General Counsel
Carolyn McElroy joined PPS in 2005 after having served as the company's outside health care regulatory counsel for several years. McElroy was previously a partner in the Washington, DC offices of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, and she was a health care fraud prosecutor with Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the Maryland Attorney General's Office. She received a BS from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire and a law degree from the University of Maryland Law School.
Tim Smith, Vice President, Technology
Tim Smith joined PPS in February, 2011 as Vice President, Technology, and is responsible for delivering forward leaning Technology solutions to enable PPS’ operations optimization and growth. Prior to joining PPS, Tim was the VP, IT Operations at American Automobile Association, where he provided strategic direction and executive leadership across the AAA IT organization. Prior to AAA, Tim was an executive at EDS, an HP company, where he led Global Technology Operations for multiple large-scale clients across all regions of the world. Earlier in his career, Tim served 10 years as a Naval Flight Officer in the United States Navy. He received a BS Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from Purdue University, an MS Aviation Systems Management from the University of Tennessee SI, and is an honors graduate of the U. S. Naval Test Pilot School in the Master’s level Avionics Systems Test Curriculum.
Andrea Tiller, Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis
Andrea Tiller joined PPS in May, 2011 as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis. Prior to joining PPS, Tiller was an Executive Consultant with Robert Half CFO Services executing strategic growth initiatives and benchmarking world-class performance in roles ranging from CFO to SEC Compliance and Internal Audit. She has over 30 years of senior leadership experience in the high technology and healthcare markets with Target Therapeutics (Boston Scientific), Cholestech (Alere), SynOptics Communications (Nortel Networks), E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company, BabyCenter.com (Johnson & Johnson) Joyent, LookSmart, and SOMA (Otsuka Pharmaceutical). She received her BA in Economics from Stanford University and MBAs in both Finance and Marketing from San Francisco State Graduate School of Business.
