What We Do

Pacific Pulmonary Services (PPS) is one of the largest providers of home oxygen, sleep therapy, and nebulized medications in the United States. We have more than 1000 employees dedicated to patient care and service. Our operations include more than 100 local service centers across 19 states; a pharmacy in Bakersfield, California; a sleep therapy care center (Peak Sleep) in Bakersfield, California; a customer care center in Lexington, Kentucky; Reimbursement Centers in Bakersfield, California, Brentwood, California, Tempe, Arizona, and Omaha, Nebraska; and our corporate headquarters and training center in Novato, California.

What We Do

PPS provides equipment and services for home oxygen therapy, sleep therapy, and nebulized medications. But that is just the beginning of what we offer.

Serve the Patient

Our goal is for our patients to successfully use their therapy, whether it's oxygen equipment or sleep therapy equipment, such as CPAPs. This starts by getting the equipment to the patient's home in a timely manner—even within a couple of hours. Then, we take extra time during the set-up of equipment to make sure that the patient or caregiver is thoroughly educated on the equipment and understands the doctor's orders. We take care of all of the paperwork necessary to bill insurance companies. We answer patients' questions and solve patients' problems, whether they are about equipment, our service, or a bill. In some cases, we even help schedule necessary doctor appointments for our patients. And we call our patients regularly to make sure that they have the supplies they need, to answer questions, and to encourage them to use their therapy as prescribed. Everyone at PPS contributes to patient care.

And our dedication shows: we use a third party to survey our patients every month. And every month, more than 98 percent of our patients say they would refer a friend or family member to our service should they need it.

Serve the Healthcare Provider

Healthcare providers, including physicians and their staff, hospital case managers and sleep labs, are core to our business. We rely on healthcare providers to refer patients to us. In turn, we work to save them time and effort, including visiting patients in the home, simplifying paperwork, facilitating pulse oximetry testing, coordinating sleep studies, and solving problems.

Serve Each Other

In addition to the work we do with the patients and healthcare providers, there are teams of people internally who support the field operations of PPS. This includes Human Resources, Information Technology, Compliance, Accounting, Training, and other administrative services. We are always working to find ways to support the PPS team and to serve our patients and healthcare providers better.
